Had a great group of people at the cheese class this past Saturday. Weather was yucky. Sunday we did absolutely nothing. Total losers. I noticed all of the goats were standing outside the barn very alert.  I dragged myself off of the couch and went up to look.  Lyra was inside the barn with two little babies. I had nothing to do all day and I still managed to miss their birth. Luckily their birth was uneventful, they are both active and nursing and one is a girl. We are calling them Skip and Penny.  That brings the total to 6 boys and 2 girls.  Two more goats to go and were done for the year.

What a perfect day.  I finally made a little more progress in the garden, Bob built a hoop house over my tomatoes and peppers.  I re-planted my strawberry bed, (lost them to a late freeze a couple of years ago). Lot's of fresh food right out my back door! We got a new fence line laid out.  Once that pasture is divided it will be home to all the boys running around here.  The barn is getting too crowded, need to make it for milkers only, okay and useless Buttercup too. She'd have a stroke if she didn't have the girls to boss around. Lyra is due on Monday,(I think), I wrote down May 10th and the 15th, but I think it will be the 10th.  She looks like she's carrying 1, and she's started moaning when she lays down, so hopefully she doesn't have much longer.  We bring Lidia and Nyobi home tomorrow, Katie is very excited to start working with her FFA goat!
