Well my baby chick idea didn't pan out. Couldn't find any newly hatched
chicks. I took her off the nest and boarded it up, I know it sounds harsh but it was for her own good. Jennifer is getting
huge, I suspect three kids, she waddles when she walks, always bringing up the rear and when she lays down in the stall at
night, she moans. I feel so sorry for her.

It'salways something around here!

One of my hens has gone broody. She's been sitting for about a month now. Of
course, I have no rooster (and she's sitting on golf balls) so it's a big waste of time. I'm starting to get concerned
for her health. So I do a little reading and now I have a clever plan! I am going to call my local hatchery and
see if he's got day old chicks available, then I play stork and sneak into the chicken house at night put the
babies under the hen then, suprise all her hard work has paid off! Will it work?? I'll let you know.
